How much power do reach at one meter2 from the sun radiation and how much the maximum net power can we gather?

In one meter square, how much power (watt) do reach and can we gather most of it as a thermal energy in the water (for example) by an insulated solar heater?

Usually about 2-4 kWhr per day per sq meter depending on your lattitude and average amount of sun per day for that time of year. The efficiency is harder to estimate since there are so many ways to concentrate the light and to lose heat in the storage process. Usually 10-20% is a good ballpark figure. Usually an parabolic mirror collector is used since a flat collector will not get the water to the desired temp.

The efficiency also depends on if you can have the collector track the movement of the sun. A very simple device can be made to do this.
